




These are HDR images that i processed using Photomatix. High Dynamic Range photographs are shot in raw picture format on the camera, with it also set to auto-exposure bracketing (AEB) and setting the aperture usually 2-3 stops down from each other. Once set to AEB i take 3 separate images one over exposed, underexposed and another that has correct light metering. Photomatix then takes those images smushes them together to create a picture with more tonal range.
Each of these pictures was actually 3, i have never done HDR imaging before so this was a kind of warm up. Though it is more of a hassle i think the quality is apparent.(i have to admit using a tripod would of helped)
These turned out really nice, I like that you didn't go overboard with the HDR, some people really get too into it and end up making it look weird (such as this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mapgoblin/142350388/). It just looks higher quality and crisper without looking cartoonish.
